AI for banking: FAQ
Straight answers for CIOs, CISOs, and compliance officers evaluating AI.
Talk to usIs MultiModel built for credit unions as well as banks?
Yes. Credit unions and community banks are our core customers, including Launch Credit Union, APL Federal Credit Union, and CBS CUSO. The platform, prompt library, and policy template are written for the way NCUA- and OCC-supervised institutions work, and access rules can mirror your existing roles for branch, lending, compliance, and back-office staff.
How does MultiModel protect customer and member NPI?
In three layers. First, sensitive data such as account numbers, SSNs, and other PII is detected and redacted on your employee's device, before a prompt is sent to any model, then restored in the response. Second, the portal and, where possible, the models themselves can run inside your own network or cloud tenant, so data never crosses your perimeter. Third, you can apply stricter filtering to external SaaS models than to models you host yourself.
Prompts are also excluded from model-provider training, including OpenAI and Microsoft.
Can we deploy MultiModel in our own Azure tenant?
Yes. You can run the portal and your own ChatGPT models on Azure in your tenant, or choose a hybrid or fully on-premise deployment. Use the Azure price estimate to size the model costs, and see AI on your network for deployment options.
What can we give our examiners and our vendor-management team?
For vendor due diligence, we provide our SOC 2 Type 2 report (all five Trust Services Criteria) and complete your security questionnaires. For examiners, you can show your AI use policy, how it is enforced in the portal, who has access to which models, and word-for-word prompt records, with every audit access itself recorded.
Do we need an AI use policy before we start?
No, but you will want one, and we help you write it. Start from our free AI use policy template for banks and credit unions. We then turn the policy into enforced rules in the portal, and into training for your staff, so it is more than a document on the shared drive.
Which AI models can our staff use?
ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Grok, and Structured AI Assistants you build yourself, all from one login. You decide which groups get which models. Our recommended AI models guide shows which model we suggest for which kind of banking work.
Is there a prompt library for banking work?
Yes. Your staff get 200+ prompts written and tested for banking professionals, covering relationship management, compliance and audit prep, marketing and outreach, training and onboarding, and client reporting. Customers typically report saving more than 7 hours per employee each week once the library is in use.
