AI for lending: FAQ
Straight answers for CIOs, CISOs, and compliance officers evaluating AI.
Talk to usWhat lending work can MultiModel help with?
Your lending team can use MultiModel for loan application pre-review, credit memo drafting, financial statement analysis, and borrower and counterparty due diligence, plus the day-to-day work around a loan: loan officer prospecting, relationship management, client reporting and communication, product research, and compliance and audit prep. See loan application summaries for a worked example.
How is borrower data protected when our staff use AI?
Sensitive data such as account numbers, SSNs, and other personal information is detected and redacted on the employee's device, before a prompt is sent to any model. The portal, and where possible the models, can run inside your own network or cloud tenant, and you can apply stricter filtering to external SaaS models than to models you host yourself.
Which regulators is the platform designed around?
MultiModel is built so you can adopt AI in line with the expectations of the CFPB, OCC, HUD, FINRA, DFPI, FHFA, and other regulators: a written AI use policy enforced at the prompt, controlled access, protected customer data, and word-for-word records of AI use.
Can we show examiners and auditors how AI was used on a file?
Yes. Private prompt logs keep historical records for your audits, access to those logs is itself recorded, and prompts are categorized and flagged so your compliance team can focus on what matters. Permissions can be set at user, group, and policy level.
We're a bank or credit union. Is there a broader page for us?
Yes. Lending is one of six departments we cover at your bank or credit union. See AI for banks and credit unions for member service, compliance, operations, and the rest, and start from our AI use policy template.
Which AI models can our loan officers and analysts use?
ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, Grok, and Structured AI Assistants, all behind one login. You decide which groups get which models. You can also deploy your own ChatGPT models on Azure.
